Meeting on hydro electric power planned

People in the area have been invited to a meeting to find out more about what is described as the “enormous potential” of water to generate clean and green energy and a regular source of income for the community. 

Wrexham Energy Group wants to get more renewable energy and make sure the benefits stay with the communities that have developed them. 

A meeting, entitled Micro Hydro Electric Power in the Ceiriog Valley, is being held at Canolfan Ceiriog Centre  at 7pm on Thursday, July 3.

Under discussion will be:  

· How hydroelectric schemes work 

· The potential for schemes in the Ceiriog valley

· How a community group could benefit from regular income · How Wrexham Energy Group can help.
