Supply company answers customer who claimed water smelled 'off'

The local water provider says it would be happy to visit the Llangollen customer who expressed concerns about their supply "smelling off" earlier this week.

The person took to Facebook a couple of days ago to ask: "Is anyone having issues with the water smelling off when it first comes out of the taps and showers?

"As it has been for a few days or so now, here on the Hermitage, also does anyone know where our water in Llan is sourced from please as just needing to get answers to sort this -  feeling frustrated in Llangollen."

llanblogger spotted this plea for help and contacted the company Hafren Dyfrdwy, which supplies water to that particular part of the town.

And a spokesperson replied: "We can confirm we’ve had no reports round the water supply in Llangollen, and there’s no issues on our network."

But they added: "We absolutely understand the concern however and take water quality seriously, so would be happy to visit the customer and support.”

They also suggested that for more information about water concerns, guidance can be found on the Hafren Dyfrdwy website: My water tastes smells unusual | Water Quality | My Services | HD Cymru
