Angela Williams, chair of the Llangollen Age & Dementia Friendly group, attended the Llangollen Repair Cafe on Saturday.
The cafe volunteers have made pledges and commitments to making their group more dementia friendly.
Angela was there to hand over their certificate to cafe organiser Michael Jepson - and at the same time get her vacuum cleaner repaired.
Angela said: "The Repair Cafe is a lovely idea. It has brought people together to help each other, both socially and financially as well as ecologically, saving items going to landfill."
